Original U.S. Stereo pressing with DEMONSTRATION NOT FOR SALE stamped on the back cover. Pretty weird, far-out material. But John Neel is a pretty weird guy. He wrote all the notes on the back cover, and gives a detailed description about what to expect from each song- everything from Fuzz tone figures on the Fender on I SHOULD HAVE OWNED A FLEET OF TANKERS, to Drums and toy trumpets blaze away on I REALLY THOUGHT SHE WOULD. This is all themed as a PARADE SOUND.
On the serious part, there is some good guitar and horn work, and it was recorded well with excellent production techniques (by John Nell). Some call this a masterpiece, while others call it a nightmare. It needs to be heard before it can be totally appreciated.
Oh yeah, we cant forget to mention the best note written on the back cover about any of the songs: John writes that his song "Big Sur Love-Set" is "a tonal essay on the virtue of sexual freedom" and DEDICATES IT TO JOAN BAEZ.
This record looks like it has rarely ever been played and sounds loud and clean. There are no scratches. Under a strong lamp, the vinyl shows a small amount of sparse, very light surface marking, which cannot be felt on the grooves and does not affect the play quality. The cover has light surface wear on the front and back, and some wear and peeling on the bottom seam, however the color of the bizarre artwork on the front is still vivid.
